The Imagine Center for Conflict Transformation is accepting applications for the Project “Silenced Populations and Tabooed Topics: Dialogue and Multimedia Collaboration in the Context of Conflicts in the South Caucasus” for emerging and experienced analysts, journalists, and civic activists from the South Caucasus. The project aims at inclusivity and encourages applications from individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities.

Phase 1: The Project will kick off with the Dialogue Program to be held outside of Istanbul on September 3-9, 2018. The Dialogue Program is an opportunity to discuss the conflicts in the South Caucasus constructively and comprehensively – both the past dynamics as well as the current needs, fears, concerns, and hopes of the populations of the South Caucasus.

The Dialogue Program also includes workshops aimed at building skills, knowledge, and competence in conflict sensitive journalistic and conflict transformative analytic work covering and uncovering tabooed topics and creating space for the voices of the vulnerable and marginalized populations in the context of the conflicts in the South Caucasus.

Phase 2: In the months following the Dialogue Program, the engaged professionals will have an opportunity to collaborate across conflict divides to produce co-authored multimedia products on themes that are tabooed, marginalized, silenced, or little spoken of in the societies, such as the rights of the displaced populations, gender and conflict, minority rights and conflict, the rights of the populations living close to conflict divides, and others. The products will be published on the Caucasus Edition: Journal of Conflict Transformation atwww.caucasusedition.net.

Forming a regional network, the engaged professionals will also have an opportunity to hone skills in producing impactful analytic and journalistic multimedia products.
