We are excited to announce the\u00a0fully funded\u00a0<\/span>African Youth Summit 2023! In partnership with the ATKV, Global Changemakers will be hosting our second Africa Regional Summit in\u00a0Cape Town, South Africa from 17-20 October 2023<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n

Changemakers aged\u00a021-28 years old<\/span>\u00a0from or living in Africa<\/span>\u00a0working to create positive impact in their communities will be invited to attend a life-changing week of skills development, networking and capacity building alongside 50 of Africa\u2019s most impactful young leaders. After the summit they will join an international network of over 1200 Changemakers from around the world and become eligible to apply for grant funding to scale and amplify their impact.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Funding<\/span><\/p>\n

International flights from your country\u2019s main airport, transport within South Africa, accommodation and meals will be covered for the duration of the event for the selected changemakers. More on the funding\u00a0here<\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/span><\/p>\n

Changemakers\u00a0aged 21-28 from or living in Africa<\/span>\u00a0who are working to create positive change in their communities are welcomed to apply. More on the eligibility\u00a0here<\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Selection Process<\/span><\/p>\n

Changemakers are selected through a competitive 3 part selection process and we will accept applications until\u00a0midnight Central African Time on 10 June 2023<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

If you are currently living outside of South Africa and will therefore be travelling to the summit from outside South Africa (including South Africans), please apply using the button below.<\/p>\n

Due to travel arrangements and potential visa processes, the deadline for applicants living outside of South Africa is 10 June 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For Changemakers selected from South Africa, the summit will be the start of a leadership programme by the ATKV.<\/p>\n

Global Changemakers is an international youth organisation with a mission to support youth to create positive change towards more fair, just and sustainable communities. We do this through skills development, capacity building, mentoring and grants.<\/p>\n

\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n

We have trained over\u00a015K young people from over 180 countries<\/span>\u00a0and provided grants to\u00a0460+ youth-led projects<\/span>\u00a0in partnership with organisations such as the Shawn Mendes Foundation that have had a combined impact on over\u00a016 million people<\/span>.<\/p>\n

We have organised four Virtual Youth Summits, eleven fully funded Global Youth Summits and four Regional Summits in Asia, Latin America,\u00a0Africa\u00a0<\/span>and Europe, as well as many other skill-building events across the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
