About IRC<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is among the world\u2019s leading non-profit humanitarian relief and development organizations. The Awards Management Unit is responsible for building, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with public and institutional donors and position IRC as a partner of choice for delivering programs for our clients. This means working to expand IRC\u2019s portfolio and diversify our relationships, as well as supporting the successful and compliant management and implementation of awards, whether directly or through partners.<\/span><\/p>\n

The intern will be part of the Strategic Partnerships Team (SPT) which\u00a0is responsible for relationship management of IRC\u2019s public and institutional donors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Purpose of the role<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

To strengthen our capacity to\u00a0we are currently looking for an intern to support our donor engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Key Accountabilities<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Undertake research and preparation of background analyses<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support in the preparation of briefings for discussions with institutional donors<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Undertake translation (English to German or vice versa) of strategies or relevant documents\/communications<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support in the coordination of visits of IRC staff to donor capitals, including logistics, briefings, appointment coordination, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support in the implementation of donor strategies, through preparation, participation and follow-up of meetings and working groups<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Collate and prepare project \/ program related information e.g. through fact sheets, website articles, and social media contributions<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Participate in relevant donor meetings, together with the Senior Advisors<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support the updating of internal database (CRM) and documents such as donor profiles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Requirements<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0You should be fluent in German and English language, both written and spoken<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0You are interested in working in an international NGO and have knowledge and\/ high interest of the humanitarian\/development working sector<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0You have strong communication and organizational skills<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0You work independently, accurate, with an eye for detail and enjoy working in a team (also working with virtual teams)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0You feel confident in using MS Office (especially Word, Excel (eg Pivot Table), Outlook, Teams)<\/span><\/p>\n
