ClimateLaunchpad: The Green Business Ideas Competition<\/h3>\n

Our competition is your ticket to global success. Provided you have a green business idea and have what it takes to become an entrepreneur.<\/p>\n

Your idea can be an innovation in renewable energy, a sustainable transition in the food chain, a mind shift in urban mobility or any other way to tackle climate change.<\/p>\n

Train. Compete. Launch.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The competition for 2021 has come to an end but rest assured, we will open applications for this year on 1 March 2022. Keep an eye out for more information or subscribe to our newsletter to stay ahead of the game. How it works<\/h3>\n

To enter the competition submit your idea or innovation with environmental impact. We\u2019ll help you fast track that idea into a business and bypass all possible pitfalls along the way. You\u2019ll learn how to get your idea funded and launched.<\/p>\n

Once you are selected to join ClimateLaunchpad, the Boot Camp and coaching sessions will help you develop your idea to a rock-solid plan. You will pitch this during your National Final and the Regional Finals. The winners of each Regional Final will go on to compete in the Global Grand Final.
\nEven if your idea is on the back of a napkin, you\u2019re most welcome to join.<\/p>\n

All entries will be reviewed and ideas that fit the bill of our competition get invited to join.<\/p>\n

ClimateLaunchpad countries<\/h3>\n

In 2022 the competition is open to participants based in the countries listed on\u00a0this page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The programme<\/h3>\n

Once you\u2019re accepted to join the competition, the games begin:<\/p>\n

Step 1: Boot Camp<\/strong>
\nThe top teams chosen by our National leads* take part in the ClimateLaunchpad National programme which kicks off with a multi-day digital Boot Camp. Our trainers will teach you all you need to know about jump-starting your business.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Intensive coaching and National Finals<\/strong>
\nThe Boot Camp is followed by a period of intensive coaching. You\u2019ll perfect your pitch, value proposition and business model. After that, you\u2019re ready to rock your National Final where you\u2019ll pitch digitally for a National Jury.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Regional Finals<\/strong>
\nThe top teams of each country go to the Regional Finals where they pitch in front of the region\u2019s best and brightest. The cr\u00e8me de la cr\u00e8me are chosen to compete in the digital Global Grand Final.<\/p>\n

Step 4: Global Grand Final<\/strong>
\nThe best teams in the world pitch against each other on the international stage. The overall winner of the Global Grand Final receives \u20ac 10,000, the runner up gets \u20ac 5,000 and the idea that comes in third place wins\u00a0 \u20ac 2,500.<\/p>\n

The top 16 teams selected by the jury in the semi-finals to perform in the final round of the Global Grand Final, will automatically get direct access to the Climate-KIC ClimateLaunchpad Accelerator.<\/p>\n

On top of that, the\u00a0 7 Theme winners\u00a0 of the semi-finals (Top 1 of each theme) will win access to the Climate Marketplace Dealstream.<\/p>\n

*CLP<\/strong>\u00a0Mini-course:\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Our National Leads may invite teams first for participation in a CLP Mini-course to help them to make a better selection or to prepare you for the Boot Camp.<\/em><\/p>\n

The themes for ClimateLaunchpad 2022<\/h3>\n

We have finalised 8 themes for this year\u2019s CLP competition. These themes will be the pitching streams for the teams at the Regional Finals and the Global Grand Final.<\/p>\n

    Small print<\/h3>\n

    Let us challenge you, join the competition. But before you do, we just want to make sure that you:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • have not yet started a business or you started it less than one year ago;<\/li>\n
    • have no substantial revenue;<\/li>\n
    • you have attracted no more than \u20ac 200,000 in investment;<\/li>\n
    • you have not yet sold products, solutions or prototypes on commercial terms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
