The Adelaide Summer Research Scholarships have been created to encourage undergraduate students to consider undertaking postgraduate study at the University of Adelaide leading to a career involving research. The scholars will work with a research team to stimulate their enthusiasm for advanced study.<\/p>\n

Up to 60 Summer Research Scholarships are available to continuing undergraduate students who wish to undertake a six week research project at the University of Adelaide over the 2021-22 summer vacation.<\/p>\n

Students who have completed at least two years (48 units) of their\u00a0program, at a standard acceptable level for admission to an Honours program, will be considered in the first instance.\u00a0Students must contact their Faculty\/School to ensure that an appropriate research project is available.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

In exceptional circumstances students who have completed less than two years of study may be considered.<\/p>\n

Australian citizens, permanent residents of Australia, New Zealand Citizens, holders of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa and international students who hold current appropriate visas permitting study in Australia beyond February 2022 are eligible to apply for these scholarships.<\/p>\n

Students who are in receipt of, or expect to receive any other summer or vacation scholarships over the 2021-22 summer vacation (e.g. National Heart Foundation Summer Scholarship, Cancer Council Vacation scholarships) are not eligible for the Adelaide Summer Research Scholarship\u00a0unless the other scholarship is for a separate research project.<\/p>\n

Each Scholarship provides a living allowance of at least $200 per week for six weeks.<\/p>\n

The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered; acceptance of the Scholarship offer cannot be deferred. If a student declines the Scholarship offer, the Scholarship will be offered to the next eligible student.<\/p>\n

Students can only submit\u00a0ONE\u00a0<\/strong>application online. If a student wishes to apply for more than one research project, a separate\u00a0Research Project and Supervisor Form<\/em>\u00a0for each project must be attached (multiple forms can be attached). All attached forms must be\u00a0completed and signed as required.<\/p>\n

If a student has submitted an application online and wishes to apply for an additional research project, please contact the Coursework Scholarships Office via email\u00a0courseworkscholarships@adelaide.edu.au<\/a><\/p>\n

Students who are not studying at the\u00a0University of Adelaide can apply for the Adelaide Summer Research Scholarship but must contact the Coursework Scholarships Office via email\u00a0courseworkscholarships@adelaide.edu.au<\/a><\/p>\n

Faculties will advise students the outcome of their application\/s by mid-late November 2021.<\/p>\n

The signature\u00a0MUST<\/u>\u00a0be digital, electronic or scanned. Typed names\/signatures will\u00a0NOT<\/u>\u00a0be accepted.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
