The School of Economics offer Research and Teaching Scholarships for high-calibre PhD students in the 2021-2022 academic year.<\/p>\n

The scholarship provides\u00a0a stipend equivalent to UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) rates plus tuition fees,\u00a0and is awarded for four years, subject to satisfactory progress.<\/p>\n

You will be considered for this scholarship on the basis of academic merit and your potential to provide effective teaching. Factors such as nationality and financial status are not taken into account.<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/h2>\n

Candidates must possess a distinction grade MSc in Economics from a UK University, or an equivalent overseas qualification. The Scholarship is awarded solely on the basis of academic merit.<\/p>\n

Award Notification<\/h2>\n

The Scholarship is awarded to candidates who hold an offer for a PhD in Economics. There is no application procedure for this scholarship; your application for entry to the PhD programme will also be considered as an application for the Research and Teaching Scholarship.<\/p>\n
