\n

\nAssessment Criteria<\/h2>\n
\nWe apply five basic criteria to assess
\nthe quality of project proposals. In addition, we also consider the
\nrelative strength of the application compared to other applications
\nreceived for the same focus area and geographical balance of the
\nsupported projects. The evaluation of applications is advisory and not
\nof a decision-making nature. The decisions on support are made by the
\nCouncil of Ambassadors.<\/div>\n
\n
\n

\nProject relevance <\/h3>\n

We assess the compliance of the project with the aims of the Fund.
\n We also evaluate how clearly the applicant explains the context of the
\nproject and how the project responds to the given context or relates to
\nrelevant environment. The context should be based on exact data.\n <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\nVisegrad substance <\/h3>\n

We assess the regional added value of the project in terms of the
\ncollaboration of project partners and how much regional cooperation
\ncontributes to achieving the project objectives. We also look at
\ngeographical scope of project activities and how much it promotes
\nregional cooperation.\n <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\nQuality & Impact<\/h3>\n

We assess the quality of the project in terms of the relevance of
\nthe proposed outcome as well as its potential to achieve it by linking
\nrelevant actors, project outputs and the target groups. <\/p>\n

We distinguish between 4 levels of impact. The lowest possible impact is
\n achieved when providing a direct service. In practice, it means that
\nyou organize an event or publish a book according to your project
\nproposal and the listed target groups participate in the event or read
\nthe book. The second level is achieved when your target group changes
\ntheir behavior or acquires a new skill thanks to your project. Following
\n the example above, the participants of an event did not only attend
\npassively, but left with a new way of thinking about the subject and a
\nwill act upon it. Changing the framework is the third level of impact.
\nIt means that your project managed to bring about a change in the legal
\nor social environment of your target group. The highest possible level
\nof impact is the change of the perception of the issue that you are
\ndealing with. This is when a problem becomes a solution. Achieving such a
\n change requires a long time, persistence and enormous hard work. We
\nunderstand that you will not achieve it with one project supported by
\nthe Fund. However, we appreciate if your organization is driven by this
\nlevel of impact and your project proposal is contributing to getting
\ncloser to its achievement.\n <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\nTransparency & Accuracy <\/h3>\n

We assess the value for money for each project proposal and how is
\n the funding requested adequate for the scale of the project and of
\naccurate value for the outcomes to be delivered.\n <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\nExperience & Mission<\/h3>\n

We assess the experience of all partners in project consortium and how the project relates to their overall mission.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nHow To Apply?<\/h2>\n
\nVisegrad Fund awards grants three times
\n a year via three different grant programs. Check application deadlines,
\n create your electronic application and apply online.<\/div>\n
\n
\n

\nDeadlines<\/h3>\n

There are three regular calls for applications open 30 days before
\n the deadlines of submission on 1 February, 1 June, 1 October. It is not
\n possible to apply for funding outside of this period. Consulting your
\nproject proposal is possible only by appointment and no later than 14
\ndays before the submission period. You can expect the results to be
\nannounced 60 days after the deadline.\n <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\nApplications<\/h3>\n

No matter where your organization is from, you can apply for
\ngrants if your project develops active cooperation with organizations
\nfrom at least 3 Visegrad countries. Only a single project application
\nper applicant can be submitted at a time, but you can re-apply once all
\nyour previous projects financed by the Fund have been concluded.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
