\nThe
\nInternship Programme is a learning opportunity aiming to attract
\ntalented young women and men who are strongly motivated to share their
\nnew perspectives, innovative ideas and latest research experience in
\nFAO\u2019s domains. The programme provides selected students, enrolled in an
\nunder-graduate, graduate or post-graduate degree programme or recent
\ngraduates with the opportunity to supplement, their academic knowledge
\nwith a practical work assignments in a field related to the work of FAO.
\n This will enable them to gain a better understanding of FAO\u2019s mandate
\nand programmes. At the same time, the Programme provides FAO with the
\nassistance of qualified individuals specializing in relevant fields in
\nconnection to <\/span>FAO Strategic Objectives<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>UN Sustainable Development Goals<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe Food
\nand Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) leads
\ninternational efforts to defeat hunger and to support development in
\nmember countries in the areas of agriculture, fisheries and forestry.
\nFAO\u2019s mandate is to raise levels of nutrition, improve agricultural
\nproductivity, better the lives of rural populations and contribute to
\nthe growth of the world economy.<\/span><\/div>\n
