The Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship Program<\/a> is
\n a globally competitive fellowship program for early career researchers
\naiming at improving the development and living conditions of children
\nand youth or contributing to one of the Jacobs Foundation\u2019s thematic
\npriorities. This includes, but is not limited to educational sciences,
\npsychology, economics, sociology, family studies, media studies,
\npolitical sciences, linguistics, neurosciences, and medical sciences.<\/p>\n

Fellowships are awarded to the most highly talented and innovative
\nearly career scholars. Funds from Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowships
\n are awarded directly to the fellow\u2019s institution and may be used over a
\n three-year period by the fellow to partially cover the fellow\u2019s salary
\nand for any activity supporting the fellow\u2019s research, such as assistant
\n salaries, equipment, technical assistance, professional travel, or
\ntrainee support.<\/p>\n

Scholars who engage in interdisciplinary work on individual
\ndevelopment and learning of children and youth, and who seek to combine
\nmultiple levels of analysis, are particularly encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n

Besides providing fellows with independent and competitive funding,
\nthe program offers a wide range of non-financial benefits. Fellows are
\nencouraged to interact with each other and organize in regional and\/or
\ntopical groups, retreats and workshops. Networking and alumni events
\nwill enrich the fellowships.<\/p>\n
