\nOverview<\/strong><\/h3>\n
\nGlobally, 23% of all deaths could be prevented through healthier environments, according to the World Health Organization<\/a>. The COVID-19 pandemic, with its origins in the wildlife trade and the increasing pressure human societies place on natural habitats, further illustrates the urgency of humankind to address the environmental crisis.<\/div>\n
\nThe current COVID-19 crisis may be a preview of what\u2019s to come with climate change and environmental destruction, but it also presents a unique opportunity for green recovery and more sustainable development. And although public awareness of environmental threats is growing, there is still a massive disconnect between the scale of the problems and the actions that are being taken to address them.<\/div>\n
\nIn this round of media grants, we are seeking innovative ideas from journalist networks, media organizations, civil society organizations or academic institutions throughout Asia and the Pacific<\/strong> that would:<\/div>\n
