Description<\/h1>\n

The Centre for East European and International Studies (ZOiS) is looking for\u00a0interns (full-time or part-time) from March\/April or from September\/October\u00a0each year, for a period of three to six months.<\/p>\n

The role will include work on research projects as well as the possibility to contribute to the communications department. The organisation\u2019s external communication focuses on the public image of ZOiS and the dissemination of research findings to the public. The most important medium is our website, together with the social media channels Twitter and Facebook.<\/p>\n

In addition, the communication department maintains the publications\u00a0ZOiS Spotlight<\/em>,\u00a0ZOiS Report<\/em>,\u00a0Meet the Author, Work-in-Progress<\/em>. This in particular includes editorial revision and translation of texts, interviews with authors of new research publications, and research of images and background information. The communications team also organises all ZOiS events, including conferences, workshops, press meetings, and lectures, and is responsible for press relations.<\/p>\n

The tasks of the intern, depending on the field of activity, will be:<\/p>\n

\u25ba\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assistance in research projects: literature research, data analysis, visualisation and presentation of data and research findings, and support in conceiving new projects<\/p>\n

\u25ba\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Background research for project- and event-related publications or lectures by ZOiS staff or for media requests<\/p>\n

\u25ba\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assisting the communications department: editorial support for ZOiS publications, social media and online editing, translations of texts for the website, assistance in the organisation of events, management of the contact database<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/h1>\n

Microsoft Office skills and very good knowledge of German and English are necessary. Knowledge of Russian or another East European language is desirable. They primarily encourage applications from students who want to complete a qualification internship in the framework of their studies.<\/p>\n

Benefits<\/h1>\n

At the end of the internship, the intern will receive a certificate. Interns are compensated with EUR 300 per month.<\/p>\n
